An Introvert's Soul - Podcast
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
Standing in the corner of a crowded room,
Not knowing what to say,
For laughing at the wrong words,
Not daring to be brave.
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
Observing rather than taking part,
Not knowing how to act,
For walking away at the wrong time,
Not daring to be brave.
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
Thinking deeply about the world,
Not knowing how to fit in,
For being alone in the wrong place,
Not daring to be brave.
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
Making connections you do not see,
Not knowing how to tell you,
For voicing thoughts in the wrong way,
Not daring to be brave.
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
Enjoying what you don’t,
Not knowing social niceties,
For choosing the wrong activities,
Not daring to be brave.
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
Internalising my experiences,
Not knowing how to share,
For expressing emotions in the wrong way,
Not daring to be brave.
Don’t judge me for being quiet,
You don’t know what’s in my soul,
Ask me a real question,
And you’ll discover how noisy I am,
Discuss a book,
And you’ll hear how expressive I am,
Play a co-operative game,
And you’ll see how social I am,
Give me time,
And you’ll feel how empathetic I am,
Accept that we are different,
Be brave, like me.
